Although we don’t have a crazy love story or are high school sweethearts. We’ve known each other for 8 years now! It actually started back in 2015 through some mutual friends. We drifted apart but found each other again in 2017 and I guess it was meant to be! 6 years later and about to say I do!

The day prior, Bill practiced by proposing by the fire with a beer can tab. Little did I know… We did our usual day before work errands, grabbed some lunch and headed to Googin’s Island in Leeds. This island is know for being filled with driftwood. Bill told me he wanted to go to the Island to search for a piece of driftwood to make a coat rack out of. (Didn’t think anything of it, I was actually kind of looking forward to something rustic in our home.) We got there and walked in and looked around, there wasn’t too much drift wood this time around. We looked around some for other cool things (fishing lures, rocks etc) I had my back turned when Bill got my attention by saying hey. I turned back around to find him shuffling in his pocket and getting down on one knee!
