We're getting married!

I remember the day I first heard about Steve. I had received a mid day phone call from my best friend Stephanie filling me in on all of the festivities she had the night prior. To those of you who don't know me I'm Leslie the matron of honor who lives in Vermont. Our conversation started out pretty normal catching up on everything and laughing over stupid things one of us had done prior in the week. This time though, I heard about a guy named "Steve". Apparently they met through mutual friends Ashley and Brian (both whom are in the wedding party) It was a typical Atlantic City night. She was with her sisters and he was with the guys. They were both at the bar and after a string of social media posts that Steve had liked of Ashley’s (Steph being “tagged” in all of them) he mustered up the courage to go over and talk to her. Steph had realized that this was the guy that was always liking her pictures but she played it cool as a cucumber (no way was she playing all her cards at once). Drinks continued to flow and then the night came to an end. The two of them got lost in the crowd and went their separate ways. Three days later she calls me and says he never accepted her face book friend request so she deleted him ( haha my girl is no ones fool). Turns out poor Steve says he never saw it and it took FIVE months for them to reconnect on a little app called Tinder (see folks its possible lol). Steve claimed she blew him off in Atlantic city and Steph claims he blew her off on Facebook. They talked all day and met for drinks that night. The rest is history! Steve jokes around and says Stephanie slept over one night and never left. I think he secretly likes her <3

The Christmas craze had just settled down. We were lounging around all day enjoying each others company (I was kicking his ass in words with friends he just couldn't beat me). We were going to Vegas the upcoming week and Steve suggested we take down the Christmas decorations. I immediately went into cleaning mode and started with the tree first. As I got to the cutest ornament of them all (a picture of little Steve in kindergarten that he made for his mom. Freakin adorable!) I realized there was an empty box next to it on the branch. I thought to myself really he left trash on the tree?! I mean come on he can be messy but this was too much. As I turned around to ask him why he’s such a slob he was on one knee with the most perfect ring in all the land!!! I thought it was a joke at first but the poor dude was sweating bullets so I knew it was real. He asked and of course I said YES! We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!
