Main Street
Take a stroll down the quaint Main Street in Ridgefield that has been called "a Norman Rockwell painting come to life." Enjoy unique boutiques and tasty treats at favorites like Deborah Ann's Sweet Shoppe, The Cake Box, and Tazza Cafe. Main Street is walking distance to Saint Mary Parish where the Wedding Ceremony will be held.
Ridgefield Recreation Center Trail
The Ridgefield Recreation Center has a great outdoor paved path. The 1.1 mile loop goes through an area of woods, around a pond and part of the recreation center. The ponds have platforms as well where you can just spend time next to the water. This is a favorite path of ours when we want to exercise outside!
Danbury Fair Mall
if you've got the itch to go shopping the Danbury Fair Mall will not disappoint! The mall has over 180 stores located about 5-7 minutes from the Ethan Allen Hotel.
Danbury Railway Museum
All Aboard! Danbury has a neat railway museum, a train yard and they offer a short train ride.
Collis P. Huntington State Park
If you're looking for a more substantial hike during your visit or would just like a scenic stroll then check out this state park. Just a few minutes walk from the parking area on Old Dodgingtown Road there are several ponds or you can follow the trails for miles and get a good sense for the beautiful Redding landscape.
