Stephanie and Shion first crossed paths through a mutual friend at Anime Expo 2012. Stephanie was drawn to Shion's cheeks, I mean, sense of humor. While Shion couldn't resist Stephanie's love of anime. After some vodka drinking, drunk dancing, a single kiss changed everything. With-in 24 hours, they became facebook friends. It was only 6 months later that Stephanie packed her bags and moved in with Shion in Los Angeles, and their whirlwind romance began. 7 years later, they welcomed 2 mischievous kittens.

In 2020, everything went down hill, not for them, but for the whole world. In November, Stephanie mourns the loss of her grandma. A week after that, everyone from her family, including her, tested positive for covid-19. Her family decided to be safe from each other by not meeting for her birthday. Due to Covid, Shion felt bad that no one will be joining Stephanie’s birthday. He decided to do a birthday photo shoot for her. "lets record the photo shoot, then screen-shot the video." he said. While it was recording, he went down on one knee and said "will you marry me?" - and Stephanie said "no way!!" Consider that a YES!! Now, after nearly 9 years together, we can't wait to tie the knot on our 10 year anniversary.
