In perfect 21st century fashion, Ryan and Stephanie first met on a Christian dating app just one week after Stephanie moved from Wisconsin to Minneapolis. After matching with each other on Upward, Ryan sent Stephanie a message asking her how long she's lived in Minnesota and all the things she'd seen. Stephanie initially responded to be polite, and after the two talked about the area, their respective passions, and their faith, Stephanie's interest in Ryan grew more and more. After a couple weeks of talking and Facetime dates, Ryan asked Stephanie on a date over Easter weekend.
