We’re Saying I Do!

I met the love of my life on one of the most important days of my life! My daughters birthday! We met each other unexpectedly as I was going into the convenient store to grab some drinks for my daughters birthday party. My love was at the store giving away some food to a few homeless people that hang out there from time to time. I was suppose to be in and out of there in 5 mins so I could take Mia and her friends their requested beverages. I was looking cute as usual that day and pulled up to the store. I got out my car and walked in the store and this man held the door open for me. I guess Rodney noticed this man smiling as he held the door open for me so he wanted to see what had this man smiling from ear to ear lol. Welp it was me! I proceed to go into the store and find the drinks when Rodney approaches me and asks if he could help me find what I was looking for. I then say yes because he was kinda cute…tall, dark, and extremely handsome and I could tell he was from the South like me. We begin to have small talk at the store and he offers to pay for my items (I tell him he doesn’t have to but he insists). After we leave the store he asks if he can buy my daughter and her friends breakfast in the morning and I kindly object but he insists again. So I said sure why not. I gave him my number with hopes that he wouldn’t call me lol. But he did for two days straight and I never replied lol. A couple days passed and I guess his feelings were hurt that I didn’t want to talk to him so he texted me and asked if I got a man, live with a man, or what…Me being the firecracker that I am finally decided to text him back where I proceeded to say…No I don’t have a man and I’m grown and I don’t need a man lol. He was like okay okay and then asked if he could take me out to get a bite to eat. I was feeling friendly that Friday evening so I said yes. He came to pick me up that evening and have been inseparable ever since.
