Two years before we met, a mutual friend thought we were perfect for each other, but both of us were very hesitant to meet because if you know us, you know we can be hard to convince to step out of our comfort zones. Fast forward two years and we were both invited to the same friend's birthday party in a bar. Yes. We met in a bar. After talking to each other for a majority of the party Rob asked Steph to go on a date. Rob, ever the silver tongued devil said to Steph when they met at Johnny Carino's "You're a lot better looking than I remember." This compliment served him well and gave him the extra points he needed, as they sat down to eat and he managed to dump his whole chicken parm in his lap. The whole evening was spent talking and laughing and realizing that they should have listened to their friend as they really did get along well. If a night throwing axe's with ALL of Rob's siblings didn't send Steph running, then nothing would. So clearly that date happened within two weeks as Rob was not wasting any time. Fast forward to a trip to Mexico with Rob, meeting Steph's family, a trip to Frisco to watch the Bison, it was time for Rob to pop the question. How the proposal went down: Steph and Rob were playing 500 Rummy on Saturday and after Steph soundly beat Rob he realized he could not live without her. Steph walked into the kitchen and turned around to find Rob on his knee asking if Steph would be his card partner for the rest of his life. Clearly, she said yes.
