Samantha is Stephanie’s younger sister and though they haven’t always been close, one vidid memory was when they moved to Hillsborough in 1999. While the rest of the adults were moving boxes and furniture into the house, Stephanie and Samantha watched Madeline the movie on the tv on the floor while chaos surrounded them. They also shared a room and Stephanie remembers them sitting at night trying to solve murder mysteries. Over the years though they grew apart some, nowadays Samantha is Stephanie’s health guru. Though she is vegan, she does pose good tips on what types of food to eat and has cooked some great Thanksgiving meals in the last few years. Though they don’t have too much in common, they still are sisters and as the saying goes there’s no one like your sister.
Ryan Bethea
Best Man
Ryan is Roderick's older brother by 5 years. He's been encouraging of everything that Rickey has done in his life and has been able to help guide him when he was in need of it. Their love of competition has made them try to beat each other in basketball, golf, and super smash bros. But during those times Ryan has tried to help Rickey improve his golf game and basketball skills. He has recently been a great guide for spiritual guidance when Rickey needed it with different spiritual struggles within his life.
Marisa Quan

Marisa and Stephanie have known each other since Stephanie was 10 years old. One of Stephanie’s most vidid memories was teaching veggietown with Marisa and thinking Marisa has such a heart for teaching and leadership. Even now, Stephanie and Marisa have gotten closer just in the last year as Stephanie has been able to witness how Marisa’s heart for sharing her creative talents, her leadership, and her welcoming spirit have grown. Marisa is one of the people to thank for bringing Steph and Rickey together (the others are God and Ronni Bethea) as she welcomed Rickey into Kinetic with open arms. Marisa has been someone Stephanie has looked up to for years and it’s safe to say Marisa believes in going out to chase your dreams because you won’t regret it. Anything can happen if you let it.
Matt Quan

Matt has been a great source of guidance for Rickey since he first joined Kinetic in 2017. Even though Rickey had been at Kinetic for only 2 weeks Matt decided to invite Rickey to his proposal to Marisa. Matt and Marisa were there for Rickey and Steph's first getting to know each other hike at Mori Point in Pacifica. They both were there for the date after Rickey and Steph became an official couple. Matt and Rickey have become great friends and have been able to have great talks about how their lives have been going during each week. So when Rickey asked Matt and his wife to help with the proposal he happily decided to help Rickey get Steph to the Japanese tea garden.
Shannon Wong

Shannon has been one of Stephanie’s oldest friends ever since Stephanie was 10 years old. Shannon has been a great mentor and role model and they grew closer than ever when a good friend moved away. Shannon has always been encouraging to Stephanie’s faith and walk with God and even when it came time to dating, Shannon has always pointed Stephanie back to God. She has challenged Stephanie at times of how she has seen God moving not just in her own life but with her life and Rickey. Shannon has always been that giggling, can't keep a secret, super excited for you, welcoming role model that Stephanie’s looked up to all these years and is someone who believes that not anyone can become a great artist but a great artist can come from anywhere.
Jeremy Wong

Jeremy is the youth pastor of the Millbrae Bible Church and has become a close friend of Steph and Rickey's over the last year. He and his wife Shannon have known Steph as really good friends since 2014 and they were 2 out of the first 5 people to meet Rickey when he joined Kinetic in 2017. Ever since Steph and Rickey started dating, Jeremy has become one of the best guides for them in their spiritual and relationship ordeals. Jeremy has been Rickey's disciplier for a little while and has helped Rickey understand what it means to be a man of God and a the leader God has called him to be in his relationship.
Deanna Low

Dee and Steph have been friends for what seems like an eternity as their friendship started when Stephanie started going to Millbrae Bible Church when Steph was 10 years old. Dee and Steph were always similar even as campers at Family Fun Night in 2002, it was all about t-shirts and basketball shorts and both wearing glasses. Dee has been an encouragement in Steph’s life for a long time as she has always been someone to pray with, tell stories to, share laughs and just have a good ol’ time. Her creative arts skills have come in handy in the past few years as they’ve served together in youth ministry and though it’s about the kids on Friday nights, Dee has still encouraged Steph with her belief of do or do not, there is no try.
Beau Wirick

Beau has been a great friend of Ryan and Rickey's and has become like another family member to the Bethea's. Rickey first met Beau when Ryan invited him to dinner one night. The comedy of that night stemmed from lack of communication. Ryan had failed to tell their mom that Beau didn't like beans and that's what was for dinner. Beau being a gracious person ate the beans anyways because he didn't want to be impolite. The three of them have always had fun playing golf, pool volleyball and basketball, and ultimate frisbee, and despite their competitive nature, they always made sure they all had fun in the end. Since Beau has a strong relationship with God, like Ryan, Beau has become a great resource for Rickey when he was in need of advice of spiritual and relationship wisdom.
Kelsi Kobara

Kelsi and Stephanie first met at Taft Swim School when they were 8 years. But it wasn't until high school where they became inseparable, bonding over football games, band reviews, swim practices and sleepovers talking about life and what else, guys. Disney 2016 was just one memory of what feels like a lifetime of them, a trip they had been planning for 6 years: perfect weather, not too crowded, riding multiple rides twice before being bored in the end because they ran out of stuff to do, The best listener, easygoing, passionate about music and Disney, it's safe to say Kelsi knows Stephanie better than anyone. Everyone loves Kelsi for her huge heart as she believes there are friends, there are family and then they are friends who become family.
Kenneth Raedel

Kenneth is one of Rickey's oldest friends. They met in the 3rd grade and have been great friends ever since. Kenneth and Rickey have played a lot of video games over the years: N64, Gamecube, Xbox, Wii, Xbox one, PS3 together. Their main rivalry games were Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Though rivals in the virtual world, they were companions in their soccer, basketball, volleyball, football, and occasionally golf days. Kenneth and Rickey also spent many years dirt biking together from their middle school years all the way up until their junior year of college. Not only has Kenneth been a great friend, he was the emotional support Rickey needed when Rickey's grandma passed away in 2014.

Allie was Stephanie’s roommate in college senior year at St. Mary’s. The first day they met, you wouldn’t be able to tell they had just met. They talked mostly about their love for Tim Lincecum, Willie Mays, Kruk and Kuip, and the rest of the Giants. Throughout the year, it became all about Tom Hiddleston and Mariska Hargitay. Not to mention all the trips to Asia Palace, Golden Palace, Cheesecake Factory and CPK, yes we like to eat. It was also about country music and the Aladdin soundtrack. The year went by quickly and both never realized how easy conversations could flow between two now really good friends. Even know, with college long behind them, it’s still all about the Giants, Tom Hiddleston and Mariska Hargitay but now it’s also a whole new world
Sammy Urtnowski

Sammy is a great friend of Ryan and Rickey's and is considered a member of the Bethea family. Sammy, Ryan and Rickey like to play golf, volleyball, ultimate frisbee together They also had funny playing board games and watching USC football games. Sammy has also become a great source of advice for Rickey just as much as Ryan and Beau have whether its spiritual or work related. He has also kept up with Rickey over the years asking how things have been going in his life.
