We met on Bumble on a Tuesday. We were only talking for two days when Matt asked Stephanie to go out to dinner at Cloud 9. Stephanie was really nervous so She had a “couple” glasses of wine beforehand at her friend Carly’s house. She arrived late on purpose and walked through the back door which caught Matt off guard because who comes in the back door of a restaurant. We ordered dinner and really hit it off the entire time. Wanting to keep the date going, Matt suggested going to Room 33 for a couple more drinks. Long story short, Stephanie does not remember Room 33 due to pre-gaming her first date with Matt. Matt made sure they both got home safely by taking an Uber. To this day, Stephanie is not allowed to keep pace with Matt while drinking.

We were binge watching a show on Netflix during a cold and rainy summer day. Matt then suggested going to Sara’s, check the boat, and go for a ride around the peninsula. We both enjoy doing that so I agreed to go. We drove down there and passed Sara’s. He said he was worried about the boat because of all the rain. We got to the marina and there were people walking on our pier and he didn’t know why people would be there so we didn’t get out. He then drove around the whole peninsula and couldn’t believe that every pavilion was taken. He kept mentioning it and I said people are allowed to be there what’s the big deal? He didn’t say much. I had no idea why we drove around the entire peninsula without stopping at Saras. We finallyyyy reached Sara’s again and I was super hangry so we ordered. We both got burgers and I got ice cream. Matt wanted to go back to the marina to eat so we did. When we arrived the same people were on our pier (Matt was so mad) so he backed up into a spot near trees. We both finished our burgers and he got out of the jeep to check something as I was diving into my ice cream. I tried locking him out to be funny, but it didn’t work. He opened my door and my wide open purse fell out onto the wet sandy grass. I said, “What the hell?” We both grabbed it and put it in the Jeep as he got down on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?” I was in total shock. I thought he was joking and the ring was fake. He kept telling me he was serious! We hugged and kissed and after what seemed to be a few minutes Matt asked if I said yes. I was STILL in total shock and I said YES!!!!
