Molly is Steph’s younger sister, best friend, and partner-in-crime since 1992. Molly followed Steph to college in Boston. She’s the best travel buddy. These two are known for having antics all over the globe.
Andrew Koovar

Medical school brought Andrew and Matt together. They graduated the same year, and now they are both getting married in 2023. When he isn’t planning his wedding, Andrew is a practicing oncologist.
Manoela Romano de Orte
Bridesmaid
Manoela is Steph’s sister-in-law. She is married to David and is Maya’s mom. After meeting David, Manoela quickly settled into the sisterly antics of Molly and Steph. She lives in California where you can find her chasing after Maya and keeping David in line.
David Koweek
Groomsman
David’s reign as an only child ended in 1989 when Steph was born. When he’s not trying to save the world from climate change, he’s working on his Portuguese with Manoela, so Maya’s vocabulary doesn’t quickly surpass his.
Lindsay Gibson
Bridesmaid
Lindsay is Matt’s older sister, favorite sibling, and mother to two adorable boys. When Lindsay has a break from her work as an attorney and keeping up with Jacob and Henry, she likes to explore new places aboard cruise ships.
Daniel Gibson
Groomsman
Daniel is Matt’s brother-in-law, Lindsay’s husband, and Jacob and Henry’s dad. He is a connoisseur of classic video games and smoked meats. However, he spends most of his days chasing around the boys.
Christine Veiga
Bridesmaid
Christine and Steph go all the way back to their freshman year at Northeastern University. The two stuck together all six years through the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. Christine is a true foodie and loves all things Portuguese.
Andy Lula
Groomsman
The tallest of the Andys also met Matt in medical school. He is moving back to Austin after spending several years in the deserts of Arizona. Andy is looking forward to getting a dog to be his wing-man.
Amy Arguijo
Bridesmaid
Steph and Amy’s friendship started while working together at Seton Medical Center Austin. Now, they both work for Enhabit Home Health, but Amy’s top priority is being a dog-mom to weiner dog, Maebey. She also loves trying new restaurants and hitting up music, food, and wine festivals with Steph.
Pedro Mendoza
Groomsman
Pedro and Matt became friends at work, where Pedro is a nurse practitioner. He is always down for a good time and to try a new restaurant. He is currently training for his second Ironman competition.
Rachel Mather
Bridesmaid
Matt’s friend from residency. The good times these two shared in Louisville, KY made residency bearable. Steph now gets to join in on the fun when they are all together. Rachel is mom to an adorable weiner dog, Bambi.
Mike Tran
Groomsman
Michael and Matt are generally up to no good when they’re together in Austin. However, Michael has an excellent track record of getting home in one piece, despite their shenanigans.
Maya Koweek-Romano
Flower Girl
Maya (Papaya) is Steph and Matt’s niece, David and Maneloa’s daughter. Maya loves being outside, petting dogs or “momos'' as she calls them, and FaceTiming with her family. Maya is super excited to strut her cuteness down the aisle.
Jacob Gibson
Ring Bearer
Jacob made Matt a proud uncle five years ago. Since then, he has grown into Matt’s mini-me. He can’t wait to show off his fancy clothes for the wedding.
Momo
Dog of Honor
Momo stole Matt’s heart in 2017 and Steph’s heart in 2020. This 12-year-old pomeranian rescue enjoys all treats, especially steak. She also loves to show off her newest bandanas. Be sure to try “Momo’s Margarita” at the wedding! (Just don’t tell her this party isn’t for her. She doesn’t like to share attention.)
Henry Gibson
Ring Bearer
Henry is Steph and Matt’s nephew, Lindsay and Daniel’s youngest son. He loves to go to the playground, play with his rocket ship, and hang out with his big brother.
Gizmo
Best Dog
Steph and Matt rescued Gizmo in the fall. What this 3-year-old pomeranian lacks in teeth, he makes up for in personality. Gizmo loves to chase after his ball and snuggle with his parents and big sister. Be sure to try “Gizmo’s Kentucky Mule” during the reception!
