Cancún International Airport (CUN)

The closest airport is Cancún International Airport (CUN), about 45–50 minutes from Playa del Carmen. Cozumel Airport (CZM) is smaller and requires a ferry, so Cancún is usually easiest. Transportation options: *Private or shared airport shuttles: Convenient for groups and luggage. Many resorts, including Hyatt Vivid, offer shuttle booking directly through their concierge. *Taxi: Readily available from the airport. *Rental car: Gives flexibility, but parking can be tricky. Booking a taxi or shuttle in advance is recommended, especially for late arrivals- please note UBERS are not allowed on Cancun airport property, do not book with them.
