Travel Note
Out of NYC's three major airports, LaGuardia is by far the closest/fastest to get to/least expensive by taxi from the wedding venue and neighborhood hotels listed. And if you haven't been in a few years, it might surprise you—the recent renovations are lovely! For trains, Penn Station and Grand Central are both easily accessible on public transit and by car from the wedding venue and listed hotels, as well as to hotels in Midtown Manhattan and Long Island City, Queens.
Travel Note
We recommend booking your hotel as soon as possible, as inevitably availability will go down and prices will go up. We don't have a block of rooms reserved for the wedding. Here are some suggestions to consider (and if you're having trouble or have questions, we'll help!): Hotels across price points, accessible by public transportation & car There are many hotels in the city that cater to business travel and so are often less expensive on weekends. We recommend using Google Hotels or Kayak to get a sense of prices. Nearby hotels Greenpoint (our beloved neighborhood) & nearby Williamsburg have many charming boutique hotels that are more or less walking distance from the wedding venue. You'll find more info on these hotels below. Making the hotel reservation Third party sites like Expedia often have lower rates for many New York City hotels.
Travel Note
There are many hotels in Long Island City, Queens (closest to the wedding venue aside from neighborhood hotels below), Midtown Manhattan, and Downtown Brooklyn that cater to business travel and so are often less expensive on weekends. All of these neighborhoods are well connected to Greenpoint by NYC's subway system, and are of course accessible by taxi/Uber/Lyft. We recommend using Google Hotels or Kayak to get a sense of prices.
