Steph’s oldest friend—from BRYC Stingray softball days to JMU roommates and beyond! She now calls Asheville home with her fiancé, Tim, and their sweet pup, Fritter.

Another lifelong friend! Steph and Mer met in English class at Lake Braddock and have been inseparable ever since. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, Will, who’ll be celebrating their one-year anniversary at the wedding!

Steph and Cassidy met in the halls of McGraw-Long at JMU and later lived together in the infamous 369 house. She now lives in Staunton with her husband, Keith, and their daughter, Avery, who’s about to turn one!
Justin Pitts

Justin is Manny's Best Man. Their friendship spans more than 10 years. They first met in the freshman year halls at Stetson University and joined the same fraternity, Phi Sigma Kappa (Damn Proud!). Although Justin and Manny parted on difference doctoral journeys, they have always found time to be there for each other on their biggest days to celebrate their triumphs.
Jasmyn Abrams

Jasmyn and Manny's friendship dates back more than 12 years. They became friends during high school chemistry lab and since then have remained best of friends. Jasmyn is an expert in many fields. She has a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from NYU, has worked in the World's Best Restaurant, Eleven Madison Park, and is now an event manager at one of New York City's premier wineries.
Jayda Abrams

Jayda and Manny first met in high school and have been inseparable friends since. They both have shared experiences working the urban education arena and a passion for science education. Nowadays, Jayda is a children's book author and social media manager in New York City.
Kojo Opoku
Groomsman
Kojo and Manny's friendship began second year of medical school. They studied arduously long hours together, served in their medical school's Diversity and Equity Board together, and ate their way through almost every restaurant Blacksburg, Virginia had to offer. Today, Kojo is a founding Internal Medicine Resident at Agusta Health.
Everett Wilson
Groomsman
Everett as a third year resident, met Manny on his first day ever as a 3rd year medical student. They quickly became friends with their mutual admiration for Central American cuisine and backgrounds growing up with Spanish speaking parents. Today, Everett is a Sports Medicine physician in Charlotte, North Carolina.
