Stephanie's Version: Instinctively Lamar and I will tell people we met in college, given the fact that we are both Alumni's of Cabrini, however, that is not entirely true. Lamar graduated while I was a freshmen, and never once did we cross paths on campus. It wasn't until my senior year that Lamar and I officially "met." A year prior to us dating, we always seemed to end up in the same place, at the same time. Each encounter, we would casually converse, but we both were at different points of our lives, and never pursued one another. Finally, after a year of running into each other, Lamar was determined not to let me be "the one who got away." He did everything to impress me, and it obviously worked. I knew early on that we were meant to be. Lamar has elected not to disclose his version, so you can take my word that this is how things unfolded.
Just weeks before our proposal we went on our first cruise together to the Bahamas. Steph was convinced this would be the perfect time for Lamar to pop the question. Well, we set sail, did our thing, and returned.... empty handed. After being so let down, Steph got the idea of a proposal out of her head. Fast forward 2 weeks to our daughter's first birthday party! Steph was so distracted making sure the ambiance of Londyn's party was perfect, Lamar took advantage of the distraction and planned the perfect proposal. Surrounded by our friends and family, Lamar SHOCKED Stephanie with the ring of her dreams. (Literally, she had picked out the specific ring a year prior). Having Lamar propose at Londyn's first Birthday party was very special to them both! Tears were shed, and just like that WE WERE ENGAGED! We can't wait to share this next chapter of our lives with you! We will see you at The Hotel DuPont!
