We recommend staying at the Hampton Inn or the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. We have room blocks at both for a discounted rate. We strongly recommend calling rather than booking online, as the Hampton Inn recently showed no rooms available on their website. A shuttle service will provide transportation from both hotels to and from the wedding. Warrenton is a small town but there are some other hotel options as well, including the Airlie, which you could book for a more upscale experience. Airlie is lovely but not as convenient to downtown Warrenton or the venue. Another nice hotel is the Chilton House Suites, which is located downtown.
Yes, there will be shuttles from the Hampton Inn and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites to the ceremony at Poplar Springs Manor that will leave at the same time (3:15pm). There will also be shuttles that leave the venue at different departure times toward the end of the reception and the after party that head back to the Hampton Inn and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites at the end of the night. More information about shuttle departure times will be provided closer to the wedding.
If you choose to drive, there is parking available at the venue, Poplar Springs Manor.
We are asking our guests to wear formal attire, which means that men are welcome to don a suit or break out their tuxedo, which ever you prefer! Similarly, women can wear floor-length gowns or opt for a festive cocktail dress! Our bridal party will be dressed in tuxedos and gowns :)
We are hoping and planning for a short outdoor ceremony, weather permitting. Therefore, we strongly recommend you wear a coat! After the ceremony, an attendant will check your coat as you enter the Manor house for cocktail hour.
We love your kids, and while we wish everyone could join us in the celebrations, we can only include our nieces on the big day. If you choose to bring your little ones this weekend, please consider finding a local sitter - we hear that care.com and sitter city are great options :)
