Stephanie and Juan met in sociology class, where Juan publicly asked for her number by making noise during the exam, since he wanted to show off he was the first one finished, as well as to get all eyes on him, when Stephanie and Juan made eye contact, he made a not so subtle "call me" sign. She agreed and they exchanged numbers. After several fun dates, they made their relationship official and got each other through the rest of college. They moved in together after graduating and worked in their respective fields. After making a not so mutual decision, the pair moved to Stephanie's hometown of Antioch, in East Bay near the San Francisco Peninsula. Knowing they wanted to live and love and grow the rest of their lives together, they would talk about marriage often. Finally on a trip to Lake Tahoe, a location with much meaning to Stephanie's family, Juan got down on one knee and proposed with the ring that Stephanie's mother had given him, as a sign of the family approval. They know the irony of going from beIng Humboldt hippies to Antioch Yuppies, but that's ok, life is a journey, they have found their life guides and would like you to join them in celebrating their vows to each other based on love, life, and the ideal that all humans are family.
