A must-do. Lincoln, Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr., Jefferson... gang's all here! Renting a bike and cruising around the monuments at sunrise or sunset when the crowds are smaller- absolutely unbeatable. The monuments are illuminated at night which makes it extra special. It is possible to book tickets ahead of time to go inside the Washington Monument for an insane view of the city.
