Steph's go-to. Rasa: Healthy and delicious Indian bowls. They have the BEST mango lassis. Sweetgreen: Healthy and delicious salads and warm bowls. They have a number of locations. We love the Harvest Bowl! Good Stuff Eatery: Yummy burgers and shakes. They have some fun dipping sauces for the fries. DC: Ben's Chili Bowl: PLEASE go to the OG location and get a famous chili dog and banana pudding! Founding Farmers: A DC classic. Get the spinach and artichoke dip. Tatte: A bakery and cafe with various locations that serves "elegant comfort food." Grab a sandwich, the potato shakshuka, or pastry.

National Mall

National MallNational Mall

Washington, DC

A must-do. Lincoln, Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr., Jefferson... gang's all here! Renting a bike and cruising around the monuments at sunrise or sunset when the crowds are smaller- absolutely unbeatable. The monuments are illuminated at night which makes it extra special. It is possible to book tickets ahead of time to go inside the Washington Monument for an insane view of the city.

International Spy Museum

This is one of Stephanie's favorite museums! It's interactive, fascinating, and fun. It's also great for kids. You will need to buy tickets in advance as this is a paid museum and tickets sell out.

Smithsonian Museums

What DC is known for. There are 17 but we have a few standouts: Stephanie's favorites: - The Natural History Museum- great for all ages - National Museum of African American History and Culture- incredibly well-made, innovative, and impactful. They also have a great cafe. Josh's favorites: - The Air and Space Museum- who doesn't love space, air travel, and the history of navigation? - Sculpture Garden- outside, not too long, very unique sculptures.

Georgetown

Cobblestone streets, shops, history, and good food. Georgetown is worth visiting! To Eat: YELLOW: Middle Eastern flavors with French technique. It's GOOD. We would recommend their pastries and wood-fired pitas. Falafel Inc: $4 delicious falafel pitas. Enough said! Il Canale: Mouth watering Italian food. Josh's favorite! Baked & Wired: Let's be real, there is no competition for the best cupcake in Georgetown. Call Your Mother: It's pink, it's delicious, it's a DC classic, it's bagels. Levain Bakery: Not just in NYC. Grab some cookies while you take a stroll around the waterfront. To see: The Waterfront Georgetown University- Josh's Alma Mater Shops

Old Town is a beautiful historic district on the Potomac's waterfront. Stroll colonial King Street, have some delicious Andy's Pizza, and definitely visit Jen's Splendid Ice Creams.

While The National Zoo technically falls under the Smithsonian category, the pandas deserve a spot of their own.
