Joseph and Stephanie met at a party at Hampden-Sydney College in Farmville, Virginia in 2020 — a night neither of them knew would change everything. Joseph noticed Stephanie first, and after a few laughs and an easy conversation, it was clear something special was beginning. From that moment on, the two were inseparable. What started as a fun college connection quickly grew into something deeper, filled with late-night talks, shared laughter, and the kind of comfort that feels rare and effortless. Joseph didn’t waste any time asking Stephanie out. While Bojangles was jokingly considered their first date, the real one happened at Charley’s in Farmville — a simple but meaningful start to a relationship that would only continue to grow. In 2022, Joseph graduated a year ahead of Stephanie and headed to Fort Rucker, Alabama for flight school, where he served two years on active duty. Stephanie remained at Longwood University to finish her nursing degree, graduating in 2023. Though miles apart, the distance only strengthened their bond as Joseph and Stephanie traveled back and forth between Alabama and Virginia, never missing a chance to be together. In August of 2025, Joseph and Stephanie returned to one of their favorite places — Horn Point on the bayside of Sandbridge Beach — a spot filled with memories, quiet moments, and sunsets they had shared together. With the water stretching out before them and the calm of the bay around them, Joseph asked Stephanie to spend forever with him. In a place that already meant so much, they began the most important chapter of their story. What began as a chance meeting in Farmville has grown into a lifelong partnership. As they look ahead, Joseph and Stephanie are excited to start their next chapter together in Pungo, Virginia Beach, Virginia — building a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
