We met working together at IXL Learning in San Mateo. Although Jordan did Stephanie's first day IT orientation, Stephanie had a boyfriend at the time and did not notice Jordan on her first day. A few months later Stephanie was single and Jordan tried to strike up a conversation with Stephanie to ask her out and see what she was doing that weekend. Stephanie told Jordan she was busy that weekend and Jordan took that as a sign she wasn't interested. Stephanie realized this a few days later and decided that she needed to act as the ball was now in her court. She wrote her number on a post-it note and planned to leave it on Jordan's computer monitor while he was away from his desk. She walked over to his desk with her number, but saw that he was at his desk and was about to cancel her plan. However, one of their co-workers loudly said "Hey Stephanie, whatcha doing?" and she realized she was trapped. She had to give Jordan her number to his face. They went on their first date the next day, a beautiful hike in the redwoods of Big Basin State Park, and they have been together ever since.
