Jonjon & Stephanie met when they were in elementary. They became the best of friends and the most important people in each other’s lives. The two would text, facebook message, video chat, and call each other as much as they could! They quickly fell in love but it took awhile for them to admit to themselves and each other how they truly felt. In the meantime, butterflies were had, glances were stolen, and the love for each other (not so) secretly grew.

On November 16 2014, Jonjon asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend! He set up a treasure hunt all over town with each destination being a place they had visited together. At each location, a close friend was waiting with a ballon, a rose, and clue to the next location. At the last destination, close friends lined the way handing over a rose to Stephanie. And there was Jonjon standing at the end with the last rose and an important question to ask. She said yes! From that day on, the two have shared and been there for every important event in their lives. Learning how to drive, graduating high school, moving onto different colleges, 2 years of long distance, loss of loved ones, gaining of new ones, attending nursing school together, graduating college, getting their first jobs as nurses, learning how to do taxes, and much more! The two have lived out their childhoods together and continue to navigate adulthood side by side.

After 9 years of dating, Jonjon decided it was time to (finally) ask Stephanie to marry him. Jonjon planned a dinner date for them to both enjoy where they talked, laughed, and ate really yummy food. After dinner, Jonjon took Stephanie to the beach. The two shared many special moments visiting various beaches. Walking along the shore, hand in hand, brought on so many feelings of nostalgia for the both of them. Memories began flooding with each step they took. Finally they arrived to a beautifully decorated picnic where Jonjon popped the question! Again, she of course said yes!! The most beautiful sunset covered the sky as the two celebrated their first day as an engaged couple. We are so excited for this new chapter in our lives. You have all touched our lives and hold a special place in our hearts. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
