Yes, there will be a cocktail hour just after the ceremony, where charcuterie bites will be served.
The dress code for our evening wedding is semi-formal to formal attire, don't be afraid to get fancy! We request that you match our wedding aesthetic and wear only black, white or both- no other colors please (yes, white is ok ladies)! Ladies: we encourage long dresses or cocktail length dresses. Guys: Suits are preferred, ties are optional. The ceremony and reception will be mostly outside and on partial grass areas, please keep this in mind when considering your shoes for the evening. If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out!
The average travel time from the airport to the hotels listed on our website is between 35min - 1hr depending on traffic and time of day. Please consider heavier traffic in and around the airport due to ongoing construction. The average travel time from the Hilton Garden Inn- Rancho Bernardo to the wedding venue is approximately 20 mins. The average travel time from the Rancho Bernardo Inn to the wedding venue is approximately 20 mins.
The community has a guarded gate. UPDATE: Please tell the guard you are there for the Bowman/Virden Wedding, they have the guest list and should ask for your name.

We adore your children but have limited space (and intend to party), please make it a date night. This is an adult-only occasion.
Please utilize the street parking around the venue, be courteous to neighbors' property and community streets. We recommend taking an UBER or hotel shuttle to reduce amount of cars and to encourage responsible driving.
Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the person named on your invitation. Therefore, we kindly ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
Unfortunately, the hotels were not making it easy to do a special rate. We also considered that many of our guests coming from out of town will potentially be going the 'Airbnb' route and making it a long weekend to enjoy other parts of San Diego. Please reach out if you need any other recommendations.
