Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Stephanie Church and Jeff Sprague
Please see the "Schedule" page for the activities that we have planned (Thurs and Fri activities are optional, of course!). Staying at the Xcaret resort means you have full access to ALL of the parks, so best to make a list of a few things you'd like to try! Jeff and I plan on trying to do the cenotes, going to the spa, and just relaxing at the pool.

Reservations

Many amazing restaurants do not require a reservation. The following, however, do: * Teatro del Río: Preset dinner at 6:30pm with Mexican show * Cuevas: This is where our reception is, so no need to go! * Xin-Gao (reservation recommended, not required): Menu switches between Fusion, Sushi Bar & Teppanyaki table. * HA': Not included and must pay extra for. I've heard it's amazing, though. You can make a reservation for up to 12 seats together. You can go with the flow knowing that the resort is amazing, and simply talk to the front desk about park excursions once you're there. I may try to get a group of us together for a cenotes tour and/or spa day if you're arriving before Thurs. evening, so look out for an email. If you know you would like to visit one of the parks, though, please let Stephanie know or contact the resort to reserve your transportation. To reserve up to 30 days in advance, email dxguestservice@hotelxcaret.com with the date, time, and name.

If you want to chill....

Xcaret Park (no transportation needed, it's where the hotel is) is an animal preservation with tons of inlets, pool bars, hammocks, random cultural performances, Mayan archaeological vestiges, and lot of food :) There is morning yoga, paddle boarding, kayaking, and everything you need to have a great time if you want to just enjoy a true Mexican resort! Xel-Ha is another park (transportation required; reservation optional) has a beautiful beach with snorkel gear, a real lazy River, a little zip line and ocean rope courses. They have lots of water toys to rent, including underwater jet skis, and underwater kayaking! Lots of opportunities to enjoy adventure in a tropic setting. This is an all day activity, though - it looks like the shuttle back leaves around 5pm, so plan accordingly. For a list of activities, check this out: file:///Users/jeffsprague/Downloads/Activities%20at%20Xel-Ha.pdf

If you want an adventure...

Xavage Park (transportation needed; reservation recommended) offers some wild experiences: kayak in the rapids, ropes courses, full speed jet boat, crazy horizontal zip line, Monster Truck off-roading.... woah! The nighttime park - Xplor Fuego (transportation needed; reservation highly recommended) - is open from 5:30-11pm, and also will get the adrenaline going! Nighttime zip line (the highest zip line in Rivera Maya), drive an amphibious vehicle along a 3-mile path through the jungle, swim in a stalactite river inside ancient caves, paddle through an underground river, or do a spelunking hike.
