Jeff and Stephanie were both auditors at EY in Atlanta, GA. Both were attending an annual training during the summer of 2016. As part of introductions at the beginning of the training class, each person had to say what school they attended. Both Jeff and Stephanie were surprised to find that they attended the same college, yet had never met until now! It wasn't until Jeff started the conversation with Stephanie while waiting in line for lunch that the two began conversing about this coincidence. First, a friendship grew of this encounter, which would later grow into a true love between two accountants.
Stephanie and Jeff were on vacation in Philadelphia, PA. As a Christmas gift, Jeff took Stephanie to a city of her choice to see the Atlanta United soccer team play an away game. Stephanie of course had to pick the city where Jeff was born to not only learn more about his childhood, but also celebrate the 4th of July in the birthplace of America. On July 5, 2018, Stephanie and Jeff had been out sightseeing all day and decided it was time for dinner. Stephanie wanted to go somewhere near the Delaware River, so Jeff took her to Penn's Landing. They sat by the river with a beautiful sunset and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in the background. Jeff told Stephanie he wanted to have another individual nearby take a picture of the two of them, so he went to give a man standing nearby his phone. When Jeff came back, he looked at Stephanie and told her that they were going to NYC the next day to celebrate, then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Stephanie was shocked and immediately said, "YES!" All of this was captured in pictures thanks to Jeff giving his phone to the man nearby. They then went to celebrate while eating dinner, followed by a day of walking around NYC. The fun continued at the Atlanta United game, as they watched the team win against the Philadelphia Union. But the celebration only got better as Stephanie and Jeff flew on the plane back to Atlanta sitting next to the all of the players and coaches of the Atlanta United team!
