FAQs

Question

How do I know if I am coming to the ceremony in 2026?

Answer

We will be sending out mailed invitations by the end of February 2026. If you have specific concerns about invitations or questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Please know that it was very hard for us to narrow down attendance to the ceremony, and ultimately, we understand that some people will be upset. With the cost of weddings, the logistics, and what we both desired for our wedding ceremony, we made the best choices possible for us. This does not reflect the speciality of you in our lives and we truly hope that you are able to make it to the Engagement Party to celebrate with us. Our hope for the Engagement Party is to reflect on the larger celebration without a guest list restriction.

Question

Are children allowed at the ceremony in 2026?

Answer

We are limiting children for similar reasons that we are limiting the guest list. Please refer to your invitation and the names addressed on it. If there are concerns or questions, please reach out to us and please know that we truly love your children - but with liability and space that is allotted at our venue, we had to make the tough choice to restrict the amount of children.

Question

What is the dress code for the 2026 Ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding party, parents, and siblings will all be in traditional wedding party attire. We are hosting a semi-formal event, but ask that you come in what you are most comfortable in! Our venue is a mansion located in Newry, and will be used as a dinner site and ceremony site.

Question

Ceremony Parking?

Answer

The venue that we have is requiring that all parking be IN the driveway of the venue. We MUST make sure all cars are parked in the venue driveway and will have someone that can answer questions at the day of the ceremony. (Yes this will require some creativity on parking and people may be blocked in). If you can carpool, it may be beneficial. Parking assistance will begin at 2:30pm the day of the ceremony.

Question

Will there be a bar at the wedding?

Answer

There will not be a bar to purchase alcoholic beverages at the wedding. Due to us taking a nontraditional route for our wedding ceremony, we do not have alcohol available for guests to purchase. Any guest who is driving is asked to bring their own alcoholic beverage to align with the venue's liability requirements.

Question

Are there places to stay locally if we want to get a hotel?

Answer

Yes! There are places very close to the venue that you can stay. If you google "places to stay around Ski Esta, Newry, Maine", the options will pop up.

Question

What is on the dinner Menu?

Answer

We are going to be smoking different types of meat along with a baked potato bar and an array of different salad choices. There will be light appetizers during the cocktail hour.
