Q & A

Question

Why Spain?

Answer

Spain is the first place we traveled together and have been back many times since. We love the food, wine, history and architecture in the south. Andalusia is a very special place with many happy memories for us as a couple and we are so excited to share it with you!

Question

I want to come to the wedding! Where do I start?

Answer

Great! You can start by making your travel plans as soon as possible. Choose an accommodation that is right for you. There are many hotel and airbnb options available in a range of price points. You may want to consider booking an extra day before and after October 3-6, 2025 so that you can have time to relax and recover on either side of your journey. You also need to book your airfare to Spain. The nearest airports are just an hour away in Jerez and Gibraltar. The airports of Seville and Málaga are each about 2 hours away. You will need to rent a car or inquire about an airport transfer with your hotel, which they sometimes assist with. Don't forget to RSVP as soon as possible and let us know of your travel details. See you in Spain!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Just click the RSVP link on the homepage. Letting us know your response as early as possible is very helpful. Thank you!

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

All of the wedding festivities are adults only, but if you are bringing children to Spain with you, please let us know so we can help you arrange childcare.

Question

Will I need a car to get around?

Answer

Having a rental car will give you the most flexibility, especially if you are planning to extend your stay in Spain. There will be transportation provided to and from the wedding if you are staying in Vejer de la Frontera. There are also rideshare apps, such as Cabify, available. If you decide to not rent a car, Vejer is a small walkable village with everything you need. You will however, have to arrange for transport to and from the airport.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It is still warm and sunny in Andalusia in early October. Keep an eye on the forecast as the date draws near, but you can probably count on temps in the low-mid 80's during the day & low 70s in the evening.

Question

Have you blocked off hotel rooms?

Answer

No, we have not. Do not wait to book your accommodation. It is a popular destination and rooms book up quickly. Vejer de la Frontera has many beautiful places to stay and we encourage you to search for the perfect place for you to enjoy your weekend. The hotels we recommended on the 'Where to Stay' page are just a few of our favorites that are located in the center of town and therefore have convenient access to wedding transportation.

Question

Where are the wedding festivities taking place?

Answer

The wedding will be held at Casa la Siesta, a country house located 10 minutes from Vejer de la Frontera. Transportation for guests will be provided to and from Vejer on the day of the wedding. The day after the wedding, join us for a pool party BBQ at Casa La Siesta.

Question

What is there to do in Vejer?

Answer

Vejer de la Frontera is a beautiful and bustling hilltop village in Andalusia. Check out the 'Things to Do' link to find out more about this beautiful place and to start planning your wonderful weekend.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For welcome drinks and tapas we recommend trousers with an open collared shirt for the guys and dresses - think "resort wear." The wedding day dress code is formal attire: think European summer. Dress to impress. Jacket required, tie optional. The pool party BBQ is summer casual; sundresses for the girls and shorts and button downs for the guys; pack a swimsuit!
