Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Nancy Dolbeck

Matron of Honor

I'm honored to have Nancy as my Matron of Honor. She is my sister-friend of 26 years, my lifelong friend, and partner in crime. Someone who has stood by me and been there for me my adult life. Her standing next to me as I step into the next phase of my life means a lot to me.

Lauren Czerwonka Horner

Bridesmaid

Our mother daughter relationship has been the most significant and meaningful relationship in my life. My beautiful daughter has grown into an amazing young woman who I am very proud to call daughter, friend, and confidant. Having her support me, stand up for me, and hold my hand as I marry this amazing man means the world to me.

Lauren Dolbeck

Bridesmaid

Nancy's beautiful daughter and my niece by default. I have watched Lauren grow up and develop into an amazingly smart and accomplished young lady. She makes me laugh and I look forward to seeing what she does with her life. I am so pleased she said yes when I asked her to be my bridesmaid!

Scott Archer

Best Man

1973 - That’s when Scott and I first crossed paths. Our first debates were in Mrs. Loussarian’s 3rd grade class at Blackwell ES in Marietta, GA: I believe he was complaining about the rigidity of the multiplication tables. We continued to hang out in MS: he would come to our neighborhood or me to his playing football or some other sport. This is most likely when he formed his false belief that UGA’s football program was superior to that of GT. {This question was obviously settled with Georgia Tech’s 1990 National Championship.} In HS, he ran track & cross-country; I played soccer. We also hung out with Kefus, the Big Guy, and Shane among others. We played a lot of sports; including tennis - ask him about 'Archer Tennis'. Our trips to FL & Mex were fun, but my car did get stuck in the sand in Daytona. We also enjoyed discussing politics. I dragged him to see Ronald Reagan in 1984. In college, I usually went to Birmingham to visit him (not a lot of partying at GT). Many adventures there including a trip to the jail one night. He ended up with a law degree from UGA after graduating from BSC. He did that for a long while in Atl and - somehow; surprisingly, he owned a car repair shop? He has also learned to text; so I get many insightful text from him; that is; insightful into his flawed thinking which I am trying to fix. But during all that time and today, Archer (aka Scott) was and is a great friend that has been with me through the many good times as well as the hard times.

Seth Cochran

Groomsman

2003 – That’s when Seth showed up in my life. Nothing has affected me more than having him, everything changed after that. This one was talking in complete sentences when he was three; figured out how to move the chess pieces after watching once; and many more impressive mental feats. He also has the incredible ability to focus – he put together the entire LEGO Deathstar working continuously for 16 waking hours. He'll have to put this mental focus to work as he enters the college life at VCU next year. {I'll miss having him around} Additionally, he has developed into quite an athlete. I have loved watching him develop his soccer skills over the years. I distinctly remember the day when I was on the field coaching and someone unexpectedly zoomed by out of the corner of my eye – it was Seth. He has gone on to become a high level travel and high school soccer player (better than I ever was). This can work against me though; he doesn’t seem to be afraid to climb too high on a mountain or walk too close to the edge of a cliff when on our National Park trips. Or when he goes on snowboarding trips. He has even more to offer than that. He is one of the most well-spoken and considerate people that I know. He has organized many parties for his friends starting back in the ole fun nerf gun battles to beach parties to the leadership workshop sleep-over to a ski trip with his friends. Many including his friends, his brother, and myself have benefitted from his kindness!

Alex Cochran

Groomsman

2005 - That’s when Alex entered my life. The doctors said he was perfect. (I thought it was a little early to make that assessment). He loves to build and try new things. He was in the robotics club with Seth in the 3rd grade and has loved robotics and building ever since. He built many robots for school. Spending time in the workshop was fun for him. This included working with power tools and torches! Watching You Tube gave him many ideas including the ‘Russia Hacker’ who tried MREs – that is meals ready to eat; so we bought MREs from Amazon. They aren’t bad? We also made blow-dart guns and melted Aluminum. I did not think we would ever be able to melt aluminum, but after about 5 tries, his perseverance paid off. He did it and there is nothing like seeing melted aluminum in your back yard. These skills help around the house and at the rental properties. He even grilled the best steak I’ve ever had for Father’s Day. He gets things done right! Alex also played soccer but in HS, he started crew. With his training regiment and leadership skills, he is a key member of a racing boat whether sweeping in a four person shell or sculling as single. This has made him stronger than ever – a beast! He also enjoys hanging out with his friends (and family – sometimes). He has organized many cookouts and card games with his friends, as well as hosted several crew parties. He is always loyal to his friends and family. In the end, for the most part, the doctors were right: he is perfect!
