We were engaged in October, certain that we would spend the rest of our lives together. We decided to hold a small ceremony in New Meadows, Idaho on December 12, 2019. Although we wanted so many people to be there with us to celebrate, we knew that if we were going to keep a steady focus on what truly mattered to us on our wedding day and if we were going to pull it all together before another busy year of farming began, it had to be small and intimate. It truly was the most perfect day. Newly fallen snow created a clean, white backdrop against the Idaho mountains and pines. Uncle Louis (Stephanie’s uncle from Texas, with his wife Aunt Nancy) officiated the ceremony in a personal, God honoring way. Many of our closest family and friends were there, 11 of us in total! The remainder of our family and friends were supportive and there with us in spirit. Following the ceremony, we all sat down together at the dinner table as we laughed, cried, and shared stories.
