Flower Girl
Ducky, my longtime partner in crime, came into my life when I was 10 years old. Our first years together were difficult, but now I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She’s a big fan of being the center of attention!
Matron of Honor
My third older sister, Lindsay, is one of the people I hold dearest to my heart. There have been many times in my life when I needed her dearly, and she has always come through, no matter how far away I am from her. She has been one of the most important teachers in my life, and has been one of the people who has shaped who I am. She is brilliant, kind, and so very generous with her friends and family.
Bridesmaid
We met when we were young horse obsessed girls, and grew together into horse obsessed women. She is a wonderful and caring mother of two, and is one of the strongest women I’ve ever met. She is beautiful inside and out.
Bridesmaid
Taylor and I met in high school French class, and she was determined to befriend me from the start. She gave me the courage and the motivation to help me graduate a year early from high school, so I wouldn’t have to suffer a year alone in school without her. She is loyal, confident, and incredibly unique.
Bridesmaid
Jessie and I have only known each other about a year and a half, but she was one of the first people to make me feel welcome in Seattle. As one of Evan’s coworkers, she has gotten to know both of us very well. She is incredibly funny, honest, and adores her cat Twoface more than anything in the world, so she understands the love we feel for our dog Bennett.
Officiant
Ammon happens to be married to the matron of honor, Lindsay! They met years ago teaching English abroad in China. Their serendipitous meeting has led to a marriage of 5 years, together for 7. Ammon is a practicing cannabis lawyer in Seattle, and is one of the smartest and strangest people I have ever met. I’m glad to be able to call him my brother.
Best Man
Justin and I met the first night of college and it has been a wild ride ever since. From Appalachian State games to driving all the way to Orlando to go to Wrestlemania to late night bad horror movie marathons, we have shared many of my favorite memories. After living with Justin for several years, he has become one of my most trusted friends and someone I know I can count on no matter the situation. He is fiercely loyal and will never give up on a friend in need.
Groomsman
Mark and I have been brothers most of my life, and all of his. Mark is one of the smartest, funniest people I know. We spent most of our summers together running around with our friends doing things like walking long distances for no reason and making the best homemade ninja action movies featuring bamboo. His calm presence draws people in, but he is always ready crack off one of his classic quips that never failed to make me laugh. His drive and hard work serve as a motivation for me and even though he is my younger brother, I often look up to him.
Groomsman
My first memories of Tyler were of him waiting for the bus at my house when we were in elementary school. He was a bit of a wild child, but his charm and personality quickly made him a close friend for both Mark and myself. We all spent so much time together in the summers that I would wake up some mornings to find him playing video games in my room. He is always up to try something new or learn something and he is one of my oldest friends.
Groomsman
I also met Clayton the first night of college and our love of sports and goofy humor made us fast friends. I lived with Clayton for most of my college life, and we enjoyed many a night of basketball and video games. His silly and sarcastic sense of humor and propensity for going on one of his trademark rants always makes me laugh. He also opened my eyes up to many new things, like the fact that soccer is actually exciting, and we have shared many an enjoyable discussion on social and political issues.
