Sometimes, all it takes is one night. After countless hours scrolling through Hinge, Etay and Stephanie matched and started talking. After much back-and-forth, they finally agreed to meet in downtown Farmingdale. Stephanie had just returned from Iceland, while Etay had… largely just been hanging around his apartment. Etay arrived at the bar first and was patiently waiting outside until Stephanie arrived. But alas, the bar was too crowded, so they had to find another place to sit. They finally landed at a local Farmingdale landmark etched deep into the memory of every Farmingdale State College student: The Nutty Irishman. It only took one night. Stephanie quickly realized that this was someone she wanted to see again. Preferably more than once. Fortunately for her, the feeling was mutual. That night marked the beginning of a relationship that would eventually lead to this very wedding. Since those early days in Farmingdale, Etay and Stephanie have ventured much farther out to the Hamptons, upstate New York, Los Angeles, and even Canada. As a wise woman named Beyonce once said, “if you like it then you should have put a ring on it,” and it was while reflecting on these very words that Etay decided it was, in fact, time to put a ring on it. His proposal to Stephanie took place at the most romantic location he could imagine, a Holiday Inn somewhere in Pennsylvania. Much to his surprise, she accepted, and wedding planning officially began. After plenty of stress, excitement, and more seating-chart discussions than anyone should endure, the wedding day is almost here. We’re looking forward to celebrating with all of you!
