GDL is the best airport to fly into from the US. We recommend AeroMexico and Volaris for direct flight options. Transportation from GDL to Ajijic (approx. 45 min - 1 hour drive): Taxi Service from the airport is the best way to travel (approx. cost is $30-$40 USD or $500 pesos). Taxi ranks are located outside the ground floor. Car rentals from GDL are available, but driving through Guadalajara is no easy feat!
