I met Doug through a mutual "friend" who I was corresponding with regarding a car I purchased. I was told Doug had experience working on Hyundais and was a honest man. I contacted Doug through text and I remember addressing him as Mr. Hursey. The first question he asked was "How old is your timing belt?". I responded with "That's a personal question, don't you think?" He laughed and it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Whenever I would call Doug about my car, we'd talk for a while. I quickly realized I liked talking to him, so I texted and asked if I could call him just to talk. We talked on the phone for a 100 hours that month!!! Our first date was on Sweetest Day 2015, we went to dinner (Fusion Japanese restaurant in Grove City, Doug chose it) and went to the Little Theater off Broadway to see Adam's Family.

According to Doug, we started dating in 2017. I hadn't heard from him in a couple of months and was more than surprised when he texted me on September 22, 2017. I was in Honolulu with my family celebrating my mom's birthday when I heard from him. I told him where I was and he said "How the hell did your broke ass get to Hawaii?" I was so happy to hear from him. It would take him a couple more days before he'd call again. Apparently we were dating and I didn't realize it...I thought we were just friends...
