We're so excited to celebrate with you

Charlie and Stephanie’s story begins with the unbelievable World Series run of the Kansas City Royals in 2015. Although they both grrew up and lived in Kansas City, they had never crossed paths. Game three would change their lives forever. A couple of Charlie’s fraternity brothers were hosting a watch party where they both attended. The Royals getting blown out, a blessing in disguise, allowed Charlie’s attention to drift to Stephanie. While the Royals lost, these two won. The two spent the night getting to know each other and found an instant spark. Although Charlie planned their first two dates they involved things near and dear to Stephanie's heart (mexican food and Cooper's Hawk Wine). It was obvious they were destined to be together. Over the next five years their relationship became something special. From pretending to be wine sommeliers, eating their way through any city they traveled to, the KU v. KSU debates, and their mutual obsession with Gabby (the dog) - their spark grew into a flame. Please join them on June 12, 2021 to help them celebrate their something special.

On a cloudy October day Charlie told Stephanie that they were going on a mystery date. He made sure she was wearing something nice but refused to tell her what they were going to do. Stephanie reluctantly went with Charlie on his mystery date despite him questioning her choice of wardrobe. Charlie parked the car near the World War I Museum and suggested they go to the top of the hill to see if the morning rain had left a rainbow. While at the top of the hill, overlooking the Kansas City Skyline, Charlie got on his knee and asked Stephanie if she’d like to spend the rest of their lives together. While fighting through tears of joy Stephanie said “Yes!” Their families came out from their hiding places to celebrate with the couple and the rest was history.
