The Hallowedding!

Steph: 2008 we met at a house party I threw at my parents house. Our long time Horeb friend Jesse introduced us but I already knew Cam from being one of "the cool older guys" back in high school, haha. Later on that night, there were so many random people there, and yet as I looked around the backyard, I saw Cam already looking at me. Many times. And in my typical style, I thought, jesus christ my underwear is showing or my makeup must be smudged. Apparently, I was wrong. And we would not see each other until 2009 when magical Jesse asked me to join in on the equally magical Tobacco Road Happy Hour. Where Cam, myself, and the newly introduced Capys would meet every Friday. No matter how much I shut out romance, every time Friday came around, this Cam guy would make me laugh, we would revel in each others weirdness, and secretly make out (not so secret probably). Not to mention talk on the phone for hours as people once did, haha. I love him so much for the patience he had with me shutting out love for fear of pain for so long. And now, the past ten years have been the safest place I've ever known.
