A few days (and a few witty messages) later, we met for drinks — and BAM — he was all mine. I hit him with enough crazy talk in one night to send most men running, but for some reason… he stayed. Guess I was just that charming. 😉 Our Beth and Rip-style romance moved fast — maybe faster than either of us expected — but somehow, every moment since has felt like we’ve been together forever. One of the first times I knew he was the one was on a camping trip to Baker Lake. He was all about making it the best adventure for Sawyer — new bike, fishing pole, and all the s’mores supplies a kid could dream of. Watching him with her that weekend, I could see he already had her heart… and mine wasn’t far behind. Fast forward two and a half years, and he’s now a full-time girl dad — from hauling chairs to cheer practice to learning how to put a halter on for barrel racing (we call that progress!). On August 24th, after Sawyer’s football game, we decided to “just go look” at rings. Naturally, I found the one and told him he better grab it before it’s gone. Knowing my lack of patience, he turned to Sawyer and asked if he could marry her mom — and before he even finished the sentence, I was already saying yes. These past almost 3 years have brought more challenges than most couples face in a lifetime, but through it all, we’ve learned that together we can handle anything. We’re partners, teammates, and best friends — and we can’t wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife.
