During their undergraduate years at the University of Texas at Austin, Stephanie and Boss were both a part of a Christian student campus ministry called EPIC. One of the social events held by EPIC was a social dance lesson taught by some of the students every Saturday evening. It was during the first event of the school year that Stephanie and Boss initially met. They were introduced to each other by a mutual friend (thanks Stacey!) but unfortunately sparks did not fly--in fact, Stephanie thought Boss' name was Ross the entire evening! Luckily that wasn't the end of their love story. Stephanie and Boss continued to talk after that night, and they finally made it official in front of the UT tower on July 8th, 2014!

A couple of weeks before the proposal, Boss tells Stephanie that he will be flying back to Houston the weekend of October 26th to run some errands. The day of, Boss takes Stephanie to the Glassell School of Art, telling her he needs to take some pictures. As they are walking around, Boss eventually leads Stephanie to the rooftop. There, she finds a video that highlights the past five years they’ve been together. When it ends, Stephanie turns around to see a group of their closest friends singing the chorus of “All of Me” by John Legend! Boss then gets down on one knee and the rest is history... (spoiler alert: she says yes!!)
