Question

Should I pre arrange car service from the airport to the hotel when I arrive?

Answer

Pre-arranging a car service for your arrival at the Puerto Vallarta airport (PVR) is a good idea, especially if you want to avoid long lines and potential hassles, though official airport taxis and the Uber app are also convenient options. Pre-booking provides a comfortable, fixed rate experience and is ideal for larger groups and families. Here is the contact information for a recommended company - Paloma Martin at North American Travel: ventas1@northamericantravel.net. For better pricing mention Prisar Weddings.

Question

What is the weather like in Puerto Vallarta in January?

Answer

Expect warm, sunny days in the low 80s °F and cooler evenings in the low 60s °F. Rain is rare so there will be plenty of sunshine and comfortable weather throughout.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

No, you likely do not need to rent a car in Puerto Vallarta, as the town is walkable, and Ubers, taxis and public transportation are reliable, affordable, and readily available. You only might need a rental if you plan to explore areas far outside the main town, such as secluded beaches, small villages, or the Botanical Gardens, where public transport options are limited.

Question

Will the food and drinks at the welcome event and the wedding be kosher?

Answer

Yes all food and drink served at both the welcome event and the wedding will be kosher under the supervision of Rabbi Shneur Hecht of Chabad of Puerto Vallarta.

Question

What dates should I book my travel?

Answer

Most guests of the wedding will be arriving Friday, January 16 and will stay through Monday the 19th - which is MLK day and many are off work or school.

Question

Are there kosher food options in Puerto Vallarta?

Answer

While there are no kosher restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, Chabad offers takeout, Shabbat meals, catering, and they also have a mini Kosher grocery store with staples. Search Kosher Vallarta from any browser and it will come up.

Question

Is Puerto Vallarata safe?

Answer

Yes. Puerto Vallarta consistently ranks as one of Mexico’s safest destinations, with a significantly lower crime rate than many major North American cities. It’s a well-loved tourist spot with visible security presence and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. However, you should still take standard travel precautions, such as being aware of your surroundings, securing valuables, using only official taxis or rideshares and sticking to well-lit, tourist-friendly areas.

Question

Will the wedding be in the sand? What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

All shoes, including heels, are fine as you will not have to walk on sand or uneven surfaces for either event.

Question

How can I give a gift? Is there a registry?

Answer

In lieu of a registry, please know that your presence at our wedding is the most meaningful gift we could receive.
