Stephanie and Patrick met in the Fall of 2012 while working at Accenture, but it wasn't until they discovered their mutual appreciation for sports that their relationship really started. The first time they went out together, they drove to Baltimore Maryland, where Patrick lived from 2010-2011, to watch the Ravens defeat the 49ers in the 2013 Super Bowl. Two days later they were at the Washington Capitals game, where they made plans to attend the Washington Nationals Opening Day. Countless Capitals, Nationals, Redskins and Virginia Tech games later, their love of sports is only second to their love for one another. Prior to their engagement, they both would have agreed that the Washington Capitals winning the Stanley Cup on June 7th was the best day of 2018!

Each time Stephanie and Patrick travel, they pick a morning to wake up early and watch the sunrise. On July 15, 2018, they walked onto their dune deck at the Outer Banks and started talking about the best sunrises they'd seen together. Unbeknownst to Stephanie, this one was about to become her new favorite...

Three-time Pizza Competition* Champions Stephanie and Patrick, order or make pizza at least once a week. They pride themselves on finding unique toppings and have created pizzas with pears, dates, sweet potatoes, avocado and even pumpkin! Although it could be argued that one of them spends a little more time prepping and cooking than the other – this hobby has really encouraged their creativity and makes the “what should we eat tonight” discussion a rather brief one. They are always looking for new ingredients to try so if you have any ideas – send them their way, and don’t be surprised if you happen to find some pizza at their wedding this year… *Family Competitions count!
