Matron of Honor
My person. We met in the first grade, and we're still attached at the hip to this day. Words cannot describe the closeness of our relationship. Caiti is the the kind of friend who shows up at every single important life event you have without question, who calls and checks in every day, and knows you inside and out. She's the Christina Yang to my Meredith Gray!
Best Man
My dad has been a pivotal influence in my life by instilling a love of the outdoors, science, and family. I knew whenever I was to get married, to the love of my life, I wanted my dad and brothers up at the altar with me. With my dad next to me on our big day I know rain or shine it will be a great day. Love ya always pops.
Man of Honor
My panda bear. In the 6th grade, our homeroom teacher started to play some music, and we both jumped up on top of our desks and started to bust a move at the exact same time. We've been doing life together ever since. Lewis is someone who knows how I'm feeling without even asking, and who's been right by my side for all the lows and highs of life. I don't question that we're going to be raising hell together well into our 90s!
Groomsman
Drew had been a close friend since my early days in graduate school. He helped with some of my research and I got to know Drew and Candace as family. I spent many Thanksgivings with them in Lubbock. I also have the honor of being a part of their wedding. It is an honor to call him a true friend.
Groomsman
My older brother has been a large part of my life since the day I was born. From crushing my "fastballs" in backyard baseball to our everlasting fights as children. Today, we don't fight anymore and I think my arm would fall off if I tried to through a fastball but having a beer with my older brother whenever we are in the same area is always the highlight of any trip or visit. Time to plan a trip to a show.
Groomsman
My younger brother has been a source of entertainment and mystery since my parents brought him home from the hospital. From his early days of him running around with a giant Coke bottle in his diapers to his early days as an adult. When things hit the fan, he came out to Texas to help care for me during some tough times. It is an honor to have him with me on one of my most important days of my life.
Bridesmaid
We met in the second grade, and Chandler has been bringing out my goofy side ever since. She is fiercely kind, loyal, and hilarious. I am so grateful for how we've maintained our friendship as we've grown older and moved all over the country. I am so lucky to call her my lifelong friend!
Bridesmaid
When I first met Erinn, we rode through the Penn State campus on an Oscar Meyer Weiner bus! I was so lucky to share an office with her at Penn State during grad school. Our regular "friendsgiving" trips have been some of my most cherished memories spent together. Whether we're camping on a beach, hitting a trail, or skiing in the mountains, life is just more fun when we're together!
Officiant
My platonic life partner. I am so honored to have such a strong, steadfast, brilliant friend in my life. We have adventured together all over this country, and I know we'll be sharing our lives for the rest of our years. Demi has the ability to make me feel completely seen and understood, and also make me laugh so hard I can't breathe. No one will ever be as entertained by us as us!
Groomsman
Jimmy has been a significant part of my life for the last decade. From bringing me into his family whenever I couldn't travel back to MS for a holiday or just going hunting or having a beer. He found Denali for me and knew immediately she was meant to be in my family. He is one of my best friends with whom I can just hang out without saying anything or unload my problems if something is stressing me out. He will give his advice (good or bad) which seems always to help, either way. I am lucky to have Jimmy as a friend and part of my family. Miss our hangouts in the backyard of the old dusty Lubbock my friend.
Bridesmaid
Tiffany and I became fast friends while we were working on our Master's degrees, and we bonded over our love for travel and nature. She was there the night Byron and I started to fall for each other, and she has been immensely supportive of us ever since. I'm so grateful for all the times we've danced the night away!
Bridesmaid
My work wife. Sammie and I lived every high and every low of our PhD program side by side, and I am so unbelievably grateful to have shared it all with her. I trust her immensely, and I am constantly looking to her for guidance and advice. I am so thankful for all of the "friendsgiving" trips we've taken together, and she is truly one of my favorite travel buddies. She is a ray of sunshine in my life!
