We're Getting Married!

We met in the ER at UF Health, me the intern and him the medic.

After mentioning my awe for NYC, Matt said he was going to take me (one month into the relationship, literally he bought the plane tickets). I've heard of how lit up the city is, but what our eyes saw was nothing less than magical! I have always dreamed of going to the city since I was a little girl, seeing all the lights, and marrying the love of my life; well, little did I know so many dreams were about to come true! Matt surprised me with the plane tickets on our 1 year anniversary, my first flight! I've always heard about the hustle and bustle of NYC, well that's no joke! After we landed and dropped our bags in the room we set off on our big adventure to explore the Big Apple! We spent our time site seeing, indulging in NYC pizza, seeing the Rockettes, having dinner with beloved family at Carmine's, tackling the subway, and even listening to the notes of a grand piano as we lay beneath it (in the middle of Washington park I might add). Eventually we found ourselves in front of the breathtaking Rockefeller Christmas tree, what a sight! Supposedly the plan was to meet Gillian (Matt's cousin) and her beau by the tree for a picture, ice skating, and dinner. Of course we posed for the obligatory Christmas tree photo, when doing so CONGRATS another couple tapped me on the shoulder to ask for a commemorative photo since they just got engaged (Matt comments in the background "terrific"). We congratulate them and returned to posing for our commemorative photo, then Matt was down on his knee asking me to marry him. The love of my life popped the big question in NYC, the city of love, surrounded by so many festivities and lights (and that ring!) sparkling, in a sea full of people, there was just Matt and Steph. There will never be enough pictures or words to describe this trip, the proposal, our relationship, the lasting memories, and the love that we share!
