We're (still) getting married! #sandz2020

We met when Zack first came home. Neither of us spoke much, and Steph fled the room as soon as possible. Our paths crossed again at a family birthday celebration exactly one week later at Basin Creek. It was a connection that was immediate, intense, and unstoppable. Once we started talking, we couldn't stop, and it has been that way ever since. Steph tried pushing Zack away, and he was ever so-persistent. Steph said she had no time for him, and said she would only see him at ceremony, beading class, or running. Little did she know, he was willing to even run 10 miles with her, at 6am in the cold, just to get that time together. Our paths diverted here and there, but always came back to each other. We are so happy to be right here!

We were in Hoopa, at one of Steph's favorite places ever: the Trinity River. Steph had just come back from a trip to Mexico, and Zack had already gotten a ring. Steph had no idea what was going on, and then he got down on one knee. We had already decided we wanted to eventually be married, but Zack did not want to wait :) Anabella was with us, making angels in the sand, and tears of joy were shed. Steph kept saying "oh my god, oh my god" over and over again, and couldn't believe it.

Our plans, as everyone's, have been greatly impacted by Covid-19 and the stay at home order that has been in effect. We understand that although practicing social distancing and safety precautions as we can, some will choose to not attend our celebration. We understand fully and support any decision you make to attend our wedding &/or reception. Please do what is best for yourself. We moved the wedding date to June 20, and have had to cancel our plans to Mexico for our honeymoon. :( But, we are happy and eager to move forward with our wedding and a back-up plan. This is still a work in progress. Please check back for occasional updates and modifications. We are scheduling tentative time frames for the specific events of the day. They may vary slightly as the details get finalized. thank you!
