Things To Do

We're excited to share some of our favorite things to do in our city with you! Philadelphia is a small city with a lot of charm, don't be afraid to walk around and explore every historic side street. Please reach out if you are arriving early or staying late, we would be happy to spend more time with you or to send you more recommendations.

Rittenhouse Square

Philadelphia, PA

Rittenhouse Square is the heart of Center City! Take a walk around the surrounding streets for shopping or sit down at Parc for some delicious french bistro fare. If you also agree that ice cream is not a seasonal dessert, take a walk to 1-900-ICE-CREAM for some of the best soft serve ever made.

Elixr Coffee Roasters

207 South Sydenham Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102

A great coffee shop near the venue! Warm up with some pour over and pick up a bag of beans if you're big into the coffee.

Liberty Bell

526 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Happy Semiquincentennial, USA! It's not a trip to Philadelphia without a visit paid to the liberty bell! Wave hi to the bell from outside from Independence National Historical Park, and walk around explore all of the historical buildings where our nation was founded. Steph highly recommends the Museum of the American Revolution, and the Betsy Ross Museum. Pick up a mobcap or tricorn hat and go wild!

Schuylkill River Trail Ramp

South 27th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19146

Weather permitting, enjoy a cold winter walk along the Schuylkill River. You can pick up the trail at a number of access points.

Brickbat Books

709 South 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

If you have some time, we highly recommend taking a walk down 4th Street, starting on South Street. The street is full of boutiques and thrift stores. Spend some time picking out a new read in Brickbat books!

Occasionette

1704 East Passyunk Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19148

East Passyunk is full of cute little shops, bakeries, and restaurants. Pop into Occasionette and Nice Things Handmade for some Philly offerings, and Good Buy Supply if you want to check out Stephanie's favorite zero waste shop!

Eastern State Penitentiary

2027 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Fairmount is a beautiful area of Philadelphia, and at its heart lies this historic penitentiary, which at one point held famous mobster Al Capone and bank robber Willie Sutton. After an educational tour of the prison, explore Fairmount Ave and find a drink or a bite to eat.
