On Valentine's Day 2021, Travis and Stephanie took a romantic 45 minute horse and carriage ride through the streets of Old Town Eureka. Travis had asked for help in planning this and invited her friends and family to join for a "photoshoot." Travis was so nervous that he was taking sips from a tiny flask in his pocket but they had a lovely ride. They discussed plans for the future while enjoying the freshness of the light rain and viewing the sights at a slower pace than usual. At the end of the ride, Travis stepped out of the carriage to help Stephanie out, but first he pulled out a box with a diamond ring and asked, "Will you marry me?" Shocked, Stephanie squealed "Yes!" Travis slid the ring on Stephanie's hand and exclaimed, "Yes! it fits!" After some photos and gifts, they all walked down to the waterfront boardwalk and had celebratory ice cream cones. It was such a beautiful and thoughtful proposal!
