We have all Zoomed, binge-watched our favorite shots and ordered our one too many times. We played it safe last year and had a small wedding ceremony on September 5, 2020 in Tower Grove Park with our families, but now we want to party with all of you. Please come to our vow renewal ceremony and celebrate like we wanted to a year ago!!
Hi everyone! We wanted to give everyone a quick little update on where stand for our wedding. Tom and I are still planning on getting married this year, just on a smaller scale. We are still planning on September 5, and the venue is now Tower Grove Park. This is going to be a small ceremony with family and the wedding party only. This decision hasn't been easy for anyone. We want to celebrate with everyone so bad, but we also want to be smart and safe. So we decided keep it small this year and then party with everyone next year. So NEXT YEAR is where you come in. On Saturday, September 4, 2021 we will be doing a vow renewal ceremony and reception. It will be at Willow in downtown St. Louis, MO and the time will likely be the same. As it gets closer, we will mail something and let you know how to RSVP. Thank you all for your patients and dealing with the ever changing timelines. If been a tough go, but we still can't wait to celebrate with all of you. Stay safe out there and we'll talk soon!
Hi gang! You may have heard about this little thing called COVID-19. Well, it's taken ahold of the country as well as our wedding date and we are no longer able to get married this Saturday, March 21, 2020. Good news though! We are still getting married this year! How does everyone feel about Saturday, September 5, 2020. Do you love it? Good, because that is our new wedding date! Don't expect a new invitation in the mail because we don't have time for that. But what would be helpful is if you could make your way over to the RSVP tab and respond if you can make it to the ceremony AND reception. We would need everyone to respond by Saturday, August 15, 2020. Thanks for hanging in there. This has been very hard on everyone involved and I hope you all understand. We hope to see you all in September! Take care.
We met online in 2016. We both swiped right on each other and started to chat. We talked online for maybe a week or so and decided it was time to meet. Tom threw out a couple suggestions: Sasha's on Shaw, Three Flags and The Royale. As soon as Steph saw The Royale she jumped on it. So the date was set: Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 6pm. It was a pretty good date. Nothing too crazy. Just sitting at the bar, drinking some local beers and getting to know each other. We talked about our lives, our careers, what kind of music we're into, TV shows we love. It was very easy to keep the conversation moving. Everything felt very natural.
We went on a 10-day trip to California and we were getting to the end of the trip. On our last Thursday in Cali, we went for a hike in Muir Woods. Tom had planned on sticking to the main trail which is fairly flat and well paved. He felt we were finishing the hike too quickly so he came up with the bright idea to take one of the more rugged trails, just to extend our time in the park. It added a few extra miles. The extra miles were not paved. Most of it was uphill. The path had lots of tree roots and rocks scatted about. Steph became agitated (shocker). She grew tired of the winding uphill climb and Tom really couldn’t blame her. He knew he had to do something to turn the rising tide of anger! We reached a campground at the top of the trail which had restrooms and a pavilion. After resting for a moment, he decided now was the time to strike. So Tom proposed to Steph. She said yes! She wasn’t mad anymore. Thankfully, the rest of the trail back down was smooth and we didn’t have far to go. Tom was happy Steph said yes.
