We're Getting Married!

We matched on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. We started messaging each other and hit it off pretty well right away. Conversation flowed so easily! We got so excited every time we heard our phones buzz. We each felt that it seemed too good to be true. Matthew eventually asked Steph to meet up, and we got a beer at Oaken Barrel in Greenwood, Indiana. To our relief, neither one of us was catfished or stood up. In fact, we had a great time and went on a few more dates after that. We bonded over trick shots during bowling and Matthew's questionable teaching skills during axe throwing. Our feelings for each other kept growing, and Matthew asked Steph to be his girlfriend after a couple months of dating. As time went on, we became more and more convinced that we were perfect for each other. Steph moved from Bloomington to Indianapolis to be closer to Matthew. Throughout our dating, we had many laughs and memorable moments. We got to know each other's friends and families, and celebrated holidays together. We were there for each other in the hard times and the good. On March 26th, 2022, Matthew proposed to Steph on the Indianapolis Canal Walk. Matthew got down on one knee and Steph said yes before Matthew could even ask the question. Both of our parents were there as a surprise to Steph, and they hid in the background to capture the moment. We didn't think we could love someone as much as we love each other, and we look forward to our love growing even more. Thank you for celebrating with us!

Steph: There are so many things I love about Matthew - it's hard to pick one. One of my favorite things about him is his loyalty and faithfulness. He always sticks to his word when he promises something and he always loves me where I'm at. Once I asked Matthew if he was sure he wanted to marry me and if he would ever consider leaving. He said that that would be the stupidest thing he could ever do and that he loved me too much to even consider that. He then said, "If you don't believe me now, give it time. I'll still be here for you in 5, 10, 20, 30, 50+ years from now. I'm here for life." Matthew is the best friend I didn't know I needed - I am so thankful and excited to spend the rest of my life with him. Matthew: My favorite thing about Steph is that when I'm around her I feel like a million bucks! Sometimes it's because she is making me laugh. Sometimes it's because she is supporting me through a hard time. Sometimes it's because she is giving me the sweetest compliments. Sometimes it's because she is making vegetables in a way that actually don't taste disgusting. Whatever the occasion is, Steph always lifts my mood. She is my best friend and I miss her when we're apart. Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her!
