Things To Do

If you have some extra time to spare during your visit, here are a few places we recommend.
Old Monterey

Old Monterey

Alvarado Street, Monterey, CA 93940

Old Monterey is the heart of historic downtown, and Alvarado Street (the main street) is adjacent to several historic buildings including California's first ever theater. Check out the Path of History walk, which is marked by round, yellow tiles throughout downtown.

Cannery Row

Cannery Row

Cannery Row, Monterey, CA 93940

Cannery Row's charm and history makes it the perfect destination for all who visit. Eat, drink, and shop your way down The Row! A few of our favorite places to eat include Schooners, Louie Linguini's, Sly's Refueling Station (aka Sly McFly's), and the Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop for dessert. There are also great boutique shops, spas, wine tasting, and kid-friendly activities.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Monterey Bay Aquarium

886 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA 93940

Be sure to buy your tickets ahead of time!

Pacific Grove Golf Links

Pacific Grove Golf Links

77 Asilomar Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA 93950

The PG course is great local option, (aka "Broke Mans Pebble" - Kyle). There are many other golf opportunities in the area, such as: The Links at Spanish Bay, Del Monte Golf Course, Bayonet & Black Horse, Spyglass, and many more. Kyle is a great resource if you want a more detailed recommendation.

Asilomar State Beach

Asilomar State Beach

Sunset Drive, Pacific Grove, CA 93950

Asilomar State Beach is extra special to us. It was our first stop on our first Monterey trip together, and it's also where Kyle proposed! We highly recommend taking a walk down the Asilomar Coast Trail and take in the beautiful views.
