It's iconic.
One of our favorite off the beaten path places. (Fun fact: this is where Jeff wanted to propose... then along came Covid and travel restrictions)
This is hands down the best pizza you'll ever eat in your life. You NEED to have reservations but the kicker is, they only take them the day of. So show up at 4pm, wait in line to put your name down for when they open at 5:45. Trust us, it's WORTH IT.
There aren't too many expansive outdoor bars in NYC but Gowanus is full of them. If you love froze, BBQ, cornhole & waterfront views (of the gross Gowanus canals) then this is a must do.
Order "It Came From Gowanus." No explanation needed.
This was our first date spot! It's a Belgian beer bar and we're very partial to it :)
We lived a few blocks up from this place and we only stumbled upon it a few months before we left for Florida :( But if you're into nostalgia and ice cream floats, then this place is for you.
Literally the best place for fresh shellfish in all of NYC. Red Hook isn't... the nicest. You might be thinking you're walking into a set of Law & Order SVU but TRUST US. Once you see this place, you'll be glad you went. Pro Tip: Make a reservation!
Do we really have to explain why?
If you can't get into Lucali's this is your next best stop for pizza.
You can't go to NY and not get a bagel... This the most unassuming bagel place ever but the owner has an amazing Brooklyn accent and everyone should experience it. (For our SF peeps, get the sourdough bagel)
