It all started long long ago in the land of New Jersey. Javier met Stephanie for the first time in December 2014 at a mutual friend's birthday party. He saw the galaxy in her eyes the first time he met her. (Cue awwwww.) When he went to ask for her number at the end of the night, she took one look at him and said: eh, try again later. Stephanie met Javier for the first time in December 2016 at the same mutual friend's birthday party. He was as bright and sweet as the Hershey Kiss he tossed her across the dance floor. When he went to ask for her number at the end of the night, she took one look at him and said: wow, you're a lot cuter than the last guy who asked! It was love at? First? Sight? Second? They saw each other. And they've continued to see each other for many years: across birthdays, graduations, vacations and vocations. One day Javier said to himself that he'd like to see her for many more birthdays, graduations vacations and vocations. So like any good young man looking for the perfect spot to propose to this lovely woman, he chose to the most beautiful place in New Jersey he could possibly think of: New York. It was here that he wondered if he would have to try again in two years, based on previous experience.
