Question

What is the COVID-19 protocol?

Answer

This event requires that guests are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for the safety of the wedding party and all of our loved ones. While we wish to celebrate with all of our guests, please do not attend if you experience symptoms, have been exposed to someone positive, or test positive at the date of the event. UPDATE2: If you are experiencing symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 and cannot attend, we will send you a DOORDASH gift card to celebrate at home. Please text us at 703-851-2394 UPDATE: Per the City’s policy, masks are required in the Jewel Box (Ceremony). Courtesy masks will be available at the venue.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Both the Ceremony and Reception venues have strict opening and closing times. Please begin arriving at the Jewel Box at 2:15pm, the Ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30pm. After the Ceremony, guests may take pictures in the Venue until 3:30pm. After the Ceremony, guests should arrive at Windows on Washington for the reception at 5 pm for a cocktail hour. The venue will open to guests as early as 4:30pm.

What's the best way to get around the city or to each venue?

Answer

St. Louis is a driving city. The Metro is not very extensive, but it is a cheap and direct option if you are traveling along its route. For the ceremony and reception, we recommend driving or using Uber/Lyft. Carpooling is also recommended!

I have a car, where can I park?

Answer

Please use street parking around the Jewel Box. The Reception offers free parking in their lot behind the building, one block over. The address for the parking lot is 1701 Lucas Ave.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What should I do between the Ceremony and the Reception?

Answer

That is up to you! We encourage our Scavenger Hunt on our website. (Winner Gets a Prize!) You may do it anywhere in the city, but the route we set out is about a 20 minute walk. We recommend exploring the city and all it has to offer. In the same park as the ceremony venue is the St. Louis Zoo, and the St. Louis Art Museum. You can explore the shops and bars in the Central West End on Euclid Avenue, or those closer to the Reception Venue downtown on Washington Avenue. You can see the landmarks of the city downtown: St. Louis Arch, Busch Stadium & Ballpark Village, and Union Station (and it's cool new aquarium!).

What are some good dining neighborhoods?

Answer

"The Loop" on Delmar Blvd between Skinker Blvd and Trinity Ave near WashU's Campus. "Central West End" an upscale area of a couple square blocks on Euclid Ave, between Forest Park Parkway and Pershing Place near Barnes Jewish Hospital. "Downtown" on Washington Ave, between the Reception Venue and 6th street.
