Two words... HIGH SCHOOL! We met our freshman year of high school. Funny thing is, I wasn't a big fan of Angelo right away. I thought he was a hot shot that was too cool for school. As it turns out, I was right. As it also turns out, I ended up liking it. Angelo came over for my sweet 16 birthday party and the rest is history. We officially started dating on February 8 of 2011.

Angelo had planned a date day for us that consisted of going to the outlet mall, Top Golf, and IKEA. This was nothing out of the ordinary as we did days like this pretty often. We made it to the outlet mall and Top Golf where I may or may not have made Angelo cry like a baby because I beat him. As we were leaving Top Golf, our next spot was supposed to be IKEA. While we were in Naperville, Angelo mentions that he wanted to stop at the Riverwalk and look at the Christmas lights first before heading out. It was kind of cold and I didn't really want to go and I put up a little bit of a fight (oops). We pull up to the Riverwalk and get ourselves onto the bridge. All of a sudden Angelo stops and tells me to look at the lights across the river. I am thinking to myself "That's weird.. why don't we just walk over there...?". Once the bridge was clear of other people walking past, he said some words that made me cry but I can't remember what they were was because I blacked the entire thing out. He got down on his knee and popped the question. He had his best friend hiding across the way video taping the entire thing! He had our families waiting at a nearby restaurant ready to celebrate! Angelo even video taped to document the entire day! The entire day was so thoughtful and until our wedding day arrives, that will reign as my most favorite day ever.
