Are children allowed?

Answer

We would love to have your children at the ceremony! However, we plan for an adults only reception, except for children in the wedding party.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Having lived on our own for the past few years, we have amassed all we need for our home. For that reason, we only have a limited wishlist of items on our registry. If you feel inclined to contribute to our future adventures together, there is an adventure fund established as part of our registry. Ultimately, your presence is our greatest present.

What is everyone wearing?

Answer

Cocktail/Semi-Formal Attire: Cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, suits, jackets, and slacks. No denim, please.

What is the parking situation?

Answer

St. Giles has a surface lot right in front of the church. If that fills up, there is also plenty of street parking around. The Hinsdale Golf Club has a surface lot and also valet parking available. If you would like valet, simply drive your car up to the clubhouse and the valet attendants will park for you.

How far is the ceremony location from the reception location? How far is the hotel?

Answer

The hotel and reception are 5 short minutes from each other! The church ceremony is roughly a 25-40 minute detour (depending on traffic). Thank you for your patience as we allow 2 hours before ceremony and cocktail hour for bride and groom to take pictures. Take a look at our "Things To Do" page for some ideas of places to have a quick cocktail in between.

Is there a rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Yes! Rehearsal dinner will be held the night before at Noon Whistle Brewery in Lombard. It will largely be reserved for family and out of town guests. Invites will be sent via email/text message.

What kind of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

We are doing buffet style! We have catered to a variety of dietary needs.

Is the reception outdoors?

Answer

The reception is indoors but weather willing, there will be a hybrid cocktail hour where a bar will be in the outdoor garden. Guests will also have the option to go onto the terrace during the reception.
